Work sucks! My $38. per hour union job was shutdown! I've been on the out of work list for over a year! But I've been working a non-union job for 8 months(@ half my wage):cens or:

But I'm enjoying starting all over(mod wise)on my new Fj62.

Yeah, not much happening here, but I check in every morning anyway. Been working in my shop doing the usual little stuff. Over the weekend I made an invention. I took the fitting from a disposable propane tank and adapted it the hose from an old gas grill. The hose will plug into the big propane tank on my motorhome. Now anything that can use a disposable propane bottle will run off the big tank.

Default What a great way to get out life's frustrations!!!

Got a chance to wheel this weekend for a couple hours. We have about 2.5 acres of hill side woods on our property. The kids have cleared a few dirt bike trails that I widened (just enough) for the 'runner. After driving those trails a while, we cleared some brush and vine maples for a new trail. Mark (blind) helped pull brush that we had cut off the trail. He does not think he's handicapped. ( You try telling him he won't ever be able to drive.)

After stuffing the front bumper into the hill, Greg took some video of working my way up the new trail. Hopefully he'll get it edited together and posted in the next couple days, then I'll put up a link.

Lets see.... I'm getting divorced... I've been trying everything in my power to keep busy so I don't dwell on that messed up situation... Turns out that getting divorced sucks big giant monkey balls... Who knew?

The Caird just got a new windshield and some rear axle seals, and is going on a road trip with me this weekend. Should be fun with some wheeling and a side trip to Yosemite to hike Half Dome.

Other than that I've been trying to make some money, but find it hard to get motivated in the face of my current situation...

I hope you're all well!

Getting divorced? Man that sucks... Well if you need to talk about it you know I'm here...Just start PM'ing.

I still miss the '85 4Runner. I see it driving around all the time and the new owner is taking good care of it. In return I'm taking good care of the quad and it is all ready to plow this winter.

Spent the past week cleaning up all my extra junk and getting rid of stuff. Past 5 days been splitting about 5-6 cord of wood for the winter...Gotta stack today and tommorow.

Found a free trailer on craigslist that is way ghetto and needs to be rebuilt...used to be a small camper. Want to make it a quad trailer...Maybe I should start a thread about it since we are so slow here.

Tuesday is the first day of my Junior year of college, and the first day I start at U-Mass Amherst towards my B.S. in computer science

Default New Post - New Day - Say Hi

**** I STILL CAN'T FIND THE START A NEW THREAD BUTTON!! *******

Hi All,

What's the haps? What's shak'n? Kay-Passa? Anything new and exciting going on?

Me?... Just work'n, pay'n bills, do'n chores around the house, and spending time with my two kids - Teddy Bear and Princess (my little Yorkies).

I ordered a Burgess Mosquito Fogger (propane powered) yesterday. We don't have many here, but this year we've got some and I hate 'em! They really like me and make a welt the size of a dime on my skin! We have a nice backyard, so we want to sit out at night around the fire pit and shoot the poop. I've never used one, so I'll see how it works. Supposed to keep flying bugs away for serveral hours to several days.

My 1986 Xtra cab is my daily driver and it's running pretty good. I'm think'n about replacing the old head with an EB bigger valves, a torquey cam, 2" exhaust with a DT header. I'd like get just a tad more poop out that little engine. Since the weather here in sunny AZ has cooled off, I don't have to run the AC as much, I can tell the difference.
I don't really know how many miles is on this truck. When I bought back in 2007, the odometer read about $73,000 miles... I don't think that's real, but I don't for sure.

I put a set of Iridium spark plugs in awhile back just for shits and giggles so I'm going to pull them and see what they look like.

I switched back to Castrol GTX 10-40 from Mobil 1 10-40, just to save few bucks. Can't say as I notice any difference yet. I'm changing O&F every 5,000 miles or so.

I replaced my U-joints awhile back. I almost forgot how to do it. One of the trade-offs of owning these Toys is that you don't get a whole lot of practice unless you are a Toy mechanic for a living or you are helping your buddies a lot.

I'm going to order some Redline MTL for my tranny and t-case. I put it in my 85 5-speed and it really made a difference in shifting.

I haven't wheeled for quite awhile.

Well... let's hear what you guys are doing?

We planned a two week trip in the motorhome, going west to Denver first to visit some buddies in the area, then south or west from there, depending on weather. Just kick around and see where our nose takes us. Well, my mother-in-law got sick. She's been in the hospital three weeks and the motorhome is sitting there looking rejected. Today, with any luck, we'll be moving her to a rehab and nursing home, and by the end of the week hope to get away for at least a few days. This has been quite an ordeal for The Boss. She works full time and has been going to the hospital once or twice a day besides. She really needs to get away for a little while.

I've been up to the same old stuff. About a third busy with paying work in the shop, so I've been doing other things - some little jobs for buddies, a few for me, pulling weeds around the yard - fun stuff. Spent a lot of time doing maintenance and little improvements on the motorhome to get it ready, and then we didn't go anywhere. Oh, well. Our time will come.
